Officers responded to a report of a person shot around 5:59 a.m. in the 5900 block of Riva Ridge Drive and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Devin Williams was pronounced dead on the scene.
After initially being reported as a self-inflicted shooting by IMPD, further investigation led the department to believe it was a homicide.
According to investigators, one person has been detained in connection with the shooting and is not looking for additional people.
