Edward Trapp Motorcycle Accident Norfolk, NE: One dead, another in critical condition after motorcycle crash near Morse Bluff.

At 11:34 a.m. on Friday, the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal motorbike crash on Highway 79 north of County Road X.

The investigation, according to the sheriff’s office, shows that 66-year-old Edward D. Trapp Sr. of North Bend was driving a Harley Davidson southbound on Highway 79 when it attempted to negotiate a curve.

Trapp was on Highway 79 when he attempted to slow down and was unable to do so in time, crashing into the east ditch. Trapp and his passenger, Joyce Yarber, were thrown from the motorbike and into the ditch when it struck a small tree in the ditch after travelling about 35 feet.

The fire and rescue crew on the spot declared Trapp dead. Yarber was flown by helicopter to Omaha for additional medical attention after North Bend EMS took him to Fremont Methodist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Morse Bluff Fire, North Bend Fire and Rescue, and Prague Fire and Rescue all provided assistance at the incident.
