Kathryn Dennis Hit-and-run: Berkeley County Deputy injured in hit-and-run at Whitesville Elementary School in Moncks Corner; Kathryn Dennis arrest.

Following Friday morning’s collision with a car, a Berkeley County deputy is recovering from injuries.

At 7:30 a.m., at Whitesville Elementary School on Gaillard Road in Moncks Corner, the deputy was directing traffic when she was injured in what appears to have been a hit-and-run incident.

The car was discovered at the registered owner’s residence, according to Highway Patrol. Kathryn Dennis of Moncks Corner is the owner of the vehicle’s registration.

The deputy was taken to a hospital in the neighborhood. Furthermore, the wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently looking into the crash as a possible hit-and-run.

The deputy works as a resource officer in schools.
