Catorreia Hutto Sanford, FL Obituary News / Ahmad and Ava Jackson Cause of Death: Mom jumps into Lake Jesup after killing her twin children.

Seminole County detectives are currently investigating a murder/suicide that spans two scenes within the county.

According to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office in a media release on Friday, October 20, at approximately 8:45 a.m., deputies received multiple calls from motorists who stated a woman got out of the passenger side of a car parked on the shoulder of the S.R 417 bridge and jumped into Lake Jesup.

Upon arrival, deputies spotted the woman floating in the water and enlisted the assistance of boaters, one later determined to be an off-duty Seminole County Firefighter, to help recover the body. The woman was pronounced deceased on scene and identified as Catorreia Hutto, 31, of Sanford, authorities said.

According to the sheriff’s office, after learning the woman’s identity, deputies discovered she had 5-year-old twins, who were not located in the woman’s car or in the water. Deputies subsequently responded to her home address and found the two children, Ahmad and Ava Jackson, deceased inside the house.

The manner of death for the twins is unknown at this time, with no apparent signs of trauma, and is pending autopsy results, authorities said.

The investigation is open and ongoing at this time.
