The Institute Football Club (IFC) sends its sincere sympathies to Phillip Crawford’s (affectionately known as Crawfy) family and friends on behalf of everyone at the club. Crawfy was a beloved member of our IFC family, not just a former player.

We grieve the death of a dear friend and teammate as we recall the numerous hours he devoted to the game, his undying commitment to the team, and the priceless moments he delivered to our supporters.

In this extremely trying time, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Christine, stepsons Jay, Ricky, and Peter, as well as all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We acknowledge the suffering that comes with losing a loved one, and we want you to know that we share your sorrow.

The contributions Crawfy made to the team went far beyond the field of play. He served as an inspiration, a mentor, and a role model for young football players. He played with a commitment that demonstrated his love for IFC and his contagious enthusiasm for the game.

We wish Crawfy a peaceful rest, free from pain and sorrow, as we say goodbye to a renowned gamer and a magnificent human being. His memory will always be cherished, and his legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched.

Our club’s chaplain, Simon McGonigle, concurs with our feelings and adds his prayers to those for Crawfy’s family. May he be exalted, and may the IFC community continue to be motivated by his energy.
