Dr. Emily Mecklenburg Accident; MaineHealth Specialist Dr. Emily Mecklenburg MD Of Rockport, Dr. Emily Mecklenburg Is Dead

Dr. Emily Mecklenburg, a specialist in MaineHealth from Rockport, Maine, has passed away. She died on Monday, October 9, 2023, as a result of a fatal accident at Schooner Grace Bailey. The disaster reportedly occurred as a result of a mast’s top breaking and landing on the schooner’s deck.

The true cause of is still unknown as of the time of this publication. The 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Rockland was called to the site to offer assistance.

Later, after being moved from the Grace Bailey to Rockland Harbour, Dr. Emily Mecklenburg was declared dead. Three more people suffered injuries. With two members of the Rockland emergency medical services, officials raced back to Bailey to retrieve the injured people.

Prior to travelling to Rockland Harbour and Pen Bay Medical Centre in Rockport, Maine, they were all transferred to EMS. According to the National Weather Service, the winds were blowing at 20 knots on October 9 at 10 a.m.

Charles Weidman’s dive operation hauled the Grace Bailey Schooner back to land where it docks at Lermond Cove. Molly Eddy, the harbour master for Rockland, went out to assist in escorting the schooner back to land. At this moment, the inquiry is still underway.
