Robert Wayne Lee, 40, a social media influencer with thousands of followers, was at Universal Coney Island in Pontiac when he challenged the two guys sitting at a table in the restaurant around 10:30 p.m. Fox 2 Detroit reported on Friday, citing the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. According to authorities, he accused one of the teenagers of being a pedophile and beat him.

According to the media, “there were two people at the table, one he was most focused on, and the one he was talking to and getting angry with was not the individual who shot him, but the other person on the opposite side of the table,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard stated. The suspect, who was assaulted, pulled out a knife.

According to authorities, the 18-year-old suspect who was hit pulled out a knife, while the other, a 17-year-old lad, shot Lee numerous times with a revolver.

He was transferred to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to authorities. According to the Detroit News, the teens ran but were apprehended Saturday afternoon by sheriff’s office detectives and agents from the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives’ gun violence task force.

The culprits are thought to be Pontiac locals, although they have yet to be recognized. Although Lee’s “one-man crusade has resulted in the arrest and filing of criminal charges against several men,” the sheriff stated in a statement, “he has also misidentified someone as a sexual predator who was not.”
