Thomas Wesley Lee- The kid died in a car accident in Cherokee County on Thursday morning has been identified as Thomas Wesley Lee of Chesnee, South Carolina.

On Thursday morning near Chesnee, a single-vehicle collision claimed the life of Tommy Lee, 17.

Apparently, around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Lee was driving a Honda van on Horse Creek Road in Chesnee when, for still-unknown reasons, the van crossed centerlines and off the road. The car then took to the air before colliding with a tree and setting fire.

At the scene, Lee was pronounced dead from blunt impact and heat injuries.

The accident’s cause is still being looked into.
