Lindsay Castelli, Long Island Boutique Owner was Arrested with Counterfeit Designer Items

Lindsay Castelli- Authorities claimed Tuesday that a Long Island “boutique” owner was arrested with more than $40 million in Counterfeit Designer Items as part of an illegal stash that she sold across the nation.

According to authorities, Lindsay Castelli , 31, of Smithtown, offered dupes of Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Dior, Ugg, and Louis Vuitton to unwary customers.

22 printing presses that were used to produce “thousands of synthetic heat-sealed counterfeit labels,” which Castelli would then apply to the inexpensive apparel items before drastically inflating their price, were also found by Nassau County officers at the store.

Following a year-and-a-half-long inquiry, Castelli, the proprietor of Linny’s Boutique in Plainview, was detained, according to the authorities.

Authorities claimed that the arrogant hoaxes were being sent to unaware clients across the US. According to officials, no one else was charged in relation to the large-scale fraud.

Castelli handed herself in to police on Friday, three days after officials executed a search warrant that unearthed her sizable hoard of fugazis, according to police. US Postal Inspectors began the investigation at the Plainview store in April 2021.

According to a press release, Castelli was charged with second-degree trademark counterfeiting and freed before a November court date. According to the prosecution, she might spend up to three years behind bars if found guilty.
