The New Menu at Bootlegger

Bootlegger is one of famous modern lounge cum pub in Bangalore. It is located at the end of 12th Main in Indiranagar. The place is huge occupying two floors and the décor is rustic with lot of brick work. Bootlegger recently introduced a new menu for its cocktail and food and we couldn’t wait to try it out. The menu is crafted by Shreyas Patel who has a vast experience in this industry.

We sampled some of the newest cocktails at Bootlegger like the Oat and Henny, Twist of Sazerac and the Gin & Tonic. The Oat and Henny is a rare combination of Cognac, Spices and Honey shaken with oat milk. The Twist of Sazerac is made with Dark chocolate and walnut infused bourbon. The subtle taste of walnut was tantalizing. But the star of the night was the Gin & Tonic. This drink is made from Gin infused with botanicals of your choice. The botanicals include flowers, spices, condiments, fruits and so on. The Ginger Chai is a great combination as well as it is infused with Tea syrup and ginger ale.

When it comes to food, Bootlegger has lot to offer. The Veg Spring Rolls were deep fried rolls with cabbage, carrots with Chinese condiments. Served with sweet chili sauce, this was delicious. The Buffalo Cauliflower is deep fried chunks of cauliflower with Buffalo dressing. It was sour and tangy at the same time. We also tried their Panner Tikka. The creamy panner had all the needed flavors and was still soft.

Most of the pubs hardly offer any good main courses, but that’s not the same with Bootlegger. We tried the Beetroot Burger and the Penne Pesto. The Beetroot burger is a healthy option which is still delicious, loved it. ThePenne Pesto is made in pesto sauce and is served with garlic bread. But the Veg Makhani Biryani was out of the world. This biryani had a variety of vegetables with the goodness of makhana sauce. Pure bliss!

We even tried some of their desserts (in partnership with The Ganache Factory) like the Red Velvet Jar and the Oreo Jar. The Red Velvet was my personal favorite. The Oreo was the chocolate alternative and still amazing!
