Ging – A Pan Asian approach

Ging is a Pan Asian restaurant which is part of the Royal Orchid Hotel, MG Road, Bangalore. The place is on the top floor and looks amazing from inside. Being at the top of the building you get to see some amazing skyline view of Bangalore. The ambiance is oriental with a large dragon welcoming the guests. In the evening the place transforms into a resto bar with DJ playing some amazing numbers.

Ging is showcasing multiple Asian cuisines every week. This week we got to try Japanese food and next week is Malay food. From the drinks menu we tried the Spicy Mojito which was a combination of orange juice and mint which a hint of black salt. The mojito was amazing.

When it comes to food we tried the Corn Fritters. This deepfried dish of corn was served with sweet chili sauce and tasted great. Next, we tried some of the Sushi platters like the Tofu Sushi. The Tofu Sushi was made with sticky rice topped with a thick piece of tofu. It was good and heavy on the stomach. The Spicy Crunchy Sushi came next and was absolutely amazing. A must try. The Shitake Mushroom Sushi was again the same as the Tofu one.

For the main course we had the Hakka Noodles with Veg Satay and the Mushroom Rice with Veg Satay. The Hakka Noodles were sweet and spicy at the same time. It was served with exotic veggies on a stick. The Mushroom rice was good as well. When it come to desserts we tried the Mochi Icecream. The desserts were bit of a disappointment as the icecream was powdery and the flavors were not upto the mark.

Overall, at Ging you are bound to have good time, though the service was bit on the slow side.
