Fire Station – Fiery & Delicious

Fire Station is a new pub located in Electronic City right opposite to Ajmera Infinity. Fire Station serves Indian as well as continental cuisines. What makes Fire Station so different than others is the fact that you can choose your spice level from low to medium to high! Located on the top floor, the ambiance of Fire Station is of a typical pub with open surroundings. The seating comprises of high chairs and wooden chairs.

Fire Station was launched only last week with an extensive bar and food menu. We tried couple of drinks like the Smoky Chipotle, Double Bubble and the Mojito. The Smoky Chipotle is a combination of Grape fruit juice, chipotle syrup and lime juice with green chilies on top. It was awesome! The Double Bubble is an inspiration around Bubble gum with cranberry juice, lime juice. The Mojito was refreshing as well.

Coming to food, Fire Station combines the best of Indian as well as Continental food. To kick off we had the Korean Firestarter Kimchi Tofu which is a hot & sour soup with vegetables and tofu. The Nutty Boy are roasted Peanuts with onions, coriander, green chili and red chili powder. You can get them in different spice levels and are best tried with the drinks. My personal favourite was the Red Hot Madrasi Sundal. It is made with Chickpeas tossed with red chili, curry leaf, mustard seeds and desiccated coconut. The subtle taste of this dish is just too hard to resist.

The Dynamite Veg Dumplings are steamed dumplings with mixed vegetables served with tomato and bell pepper dip. The dip was delicious but the momo’s could have been better as the outer layer was too thick. The Pataka Potato Tikka are baby potatoes grilled in tandoor with spiced tandoori marination served with mint chutney. Loved it as it was spicy and tangy and once you start eating one you cannot resist it. The Strip Cheese Awesamosas are samosa stuffed with mozzarella, cheddar, spicy tomato concasse and green chili served with Saunth chutney. The chutney was sweet and tangy and adds a great after taste.

For the main course we had the Mix Veg Biryani. The biryani rice is topped with curry vegetables and paneer and is cooked with aromatic spices in this delectable dish. The biryani was off the charts as it was super delicious. For desserts we tried the Churros, these Spanish deep-fried choux sticks are tossed in castor sugar and cinnamon and is served with chocolate dip. Sugary!

The service here was particularly great even though the place is brand new.
