Mamagoto, this Pan-Asian restaurant – no Fun-Asian Restaurant is making everyone crazy. Located in Indiranagar, Bangalore this place is for fusion lovers. The ambiance is quirky with iron ceilings and Chinese paintings all around giving it a funky look. There is a huge bar right across the entrance. We went here to try “The Bowl Manifesto” fest which is running till the 20^th of May.

Before we gave the Bowl Manifesto a try to decided to have a platter of their signature appetizers like the Corn Fritter Balls, Java Grilled Tofu, Veg Spicy Dumpling and Veg Spring Rolls. The Corn Fritter Balls are flavorful finger food and would vanish in no time! The Java Grilled Tofu are grilled tofu sticks with balanced taste. The Veg Spring Rolls were deep fried goodness with exotic vegetables. But my personal favorite was the Veg Spicy Dumplings which are pan grilled for about a minute. The filling in this dumpling was out of the world! Never tasted anything like this before. The platter is best tried with cocktails like the Green Apple Mojito.

Coming back to ‘The Bowl Manifesto’ which is a unique fest were rice or noodles are the main constituents and are served with gravies of Tofu, Paneer, Mushrooms, different meats and even sea food. This amazing bowl meal is wholesome and delicious! First we had the Aromatic Rice Meal Tofu which is served with aromatic jasmine rice and tofu tossed with sweet and spicy sauce and exotic veggies. The bowl was good but the gravy was a bit less. Next we had the Tofu Two Way, which is served with udon noodles with fried tofu as well as tofu tossed with homemade Chinese sauce. The Medium Hot Mushrooms, was again served with udon noodles along with mushroom in spicy sauce. The combination was simple mesmerizing. The saucy mushroom made an ideal bond with the noodles and came out perfectly together.

If you’re at Mamagoto don’t forget to try their desserts and we tried them all! All their desserts need’s a special mention specially the Coconut Panko Banana and the Banoffee Pie which are out of the world. The Coconut Panko Banana is served with Caramel Sauce with Vanilla Ice-cream, while the Banoffee Pie is served with fresh whipped cream, caramel sauce and banana with cookie dust. Every bite is extra-ordinary and you will go to a different planet altogether. We also had the Chunky Caramel Sponge Cake with Toffee Sauce served warm with Vanilla Ice-cream; the Choco Walnut Fudge in a Cup with Ice cream and the Homemade Coconut and Palm Sugar Ice-cream.

The Bowl Manifesto is something that can be tried in the company of friends and family with the joy of sharing some really exotic bowl meals.
