- You must install Android SDK on your computer first.
- Latest version of TWRP or CWM.
- USB Drivers
Step 2. Rename the downloaded image file of TWRP as recovery.img and paste it in the ADB folder that we are going to create in next steps.
Step 3. To install TWRP on your android smartphone, you need to download the latest USB drivers for your android smartphone which you can install on your Windows OS.
Step 4. To install TWRP, create a folder with name ADB in (C:/ADB) drive.Now setup the ADB and Fastboot Drivers on your Windows OS to execute ADB commands to install TWRP.
Step 5. Use your android smartphone and connect it to your laptop or PC and enable the USB Debugging Mode. Follow Settings > About Phone > Build Number.
Click on Build number for 7 times and a pop-up window saying that now you are a developer.
Step 6. Go back and access the Developers options > USB Debugging > click OK.
Step 7. Go to ADB folder (C:/ADB), that we've created and now open command prompt by holding the Shift Button + Mouse Right Click.
Step 8. Now use following command to begin the procedure to install TWRP on your android smartphone.
- adb devices
- adb reboot bootloader
- Now let the android smartphone reboot in bootloader mode.
- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- Hit enter to install TWRP on your android smartphone.
- fastboot reboot, type this command to reboot your android smartphone.
