How to switch from iOS beta to official iOS version

iOS 11 Beta usually comes with a new features before the final version is released. But by default, these pre-release versions can be unstable and have an impact on the performances of your iPhone/ iPad.

In that case, switching from the Ios Beta to a public version is the best way to bring things back to a stable state. However, how can we switch from beta to stable iOS version? In this post, we will share with you the way to switch from an iOS beta to an official iOS release by downgrading to the latest public iOS version.

Downgrade to latest public iOS release
The most common way is downgrading to a previously public iOS version. For insrance, if your device is running iOS 11 beta and want to get rid of it, you can always downgrade to the latest public iOS version, which is currently iOS 10.3.2.

In that case, you should restore your iPhone but will lose any data on your device, such as your settings, email accounts, etc because it is not compatible with the previous iOS versions. Here is how to downgrade from iOS beta to the latest official iOS version

1.      First, back up all data on your iPhone or iPad.

2.      Next, download the latest public iOS version to your computer. You can find the compatible firmware for your device from here.
3.      If you have enabled Find My iPhone, go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Find My iPhone, and turn it off.

4.      Now launch iTunes, plug your device to your computer with the help of the USB cable, and click the Summary tab.

5.      Now hold  the Optionkey on Mac or Shift key on Windows, and click Restore iPhone. This is a very important step.
6.      A new window will now appear that allows you to choose a firmware for the downgrade.
7.      iTunes will now start restoring your iPhone/ iPad and install the latest public iOS version on your device.
8.      Once the process is complete, your iPhone or iPad will run on the fresh iOS version. After that, you will need to set it all up again. If you had previously made a backup on that software version, you will be able to restore data from that backup.

Depending on your comptible options, your iPhone or iPad will run on the latest public iOS version.
