Meeting Deadlines at Sandbox with the Huawei GR5

Blogging and working for freelance jobs taught me three things: time management, the importance of a fast internet connection and the need for a reliable work device. So, there I was at Sandbox in Porac, Pampanga, enjoying giant swings and the company of friends while squeezing some social media content that has to be published that day while also answering urgent emails.

Internet in the Philippines is among the slowest in the world. I've accepted that fact. But that doesn't take away those cranky moments when you're going after deadlines and nothing seems to load. If we can't control the speed of the internet, at least we can choose which smartphone to own. The one which hopefully could make the chores easier.

Aside from good photos, I'd appreciate very much that seamless transfer from one window to another. The new Huawei GR5 is equipped with the Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 octa-core processor. I don't mean to scare you with the jargon but this only means a heavy duty system which lags less. I can flip from Gmail to Yahoomail to my office email in seconds, making time for more conversation with friends while preparing to zip line.

For a working phone, the next thing you'd want is a longer Battery Life. The 3000 mAh pack that the Huawei GR5 boasts puts the iPhone to shame... all the more. It can give you 5 to 6 hours of complete online time. Activate the power saving mode and you can enjoy more phone time. I was checking emails already while on my way to Porac. I was happy to have battery life left to check new emails while on my way back to Manila in the afternoon.

What's a phone without the capacity to take beautiful pictures. That's still work for me since I need to take quality photos for my blog. The Huawei GR5 is built with a 13 megapixel rear camera. The 5- megapixel selfie camera is not bad either. If you are someone like me who is still building my Snapchat further to reach more people, you would love that nice front camera.

The Huawei GR5 has 16 GB storage and the 2 GB RAM storage is not part of it. I know it isn't too much but there is more slot for expanded memory. Bloggers rejoice since there will be more room for random videos for your VLOG!

Another thing that I noticed is the GR5's very ultra thin package and it is also very light. When I say light, mean light. It's like putting paper on your pocket. This somehow takes back the idea that you're working. I was also comfortable bringing the phone around the entire day at the park.

There are a lot of things that can widen your choices of smartphone to not just between two brands. What's more special is that Huawei GR5 is free when you sign up for Globe's myLifestyle Plan 999. This postpaid service includes unlimited call and text to all Globe and Touch Mobile numbers, 3GB of data allowance, free 3 months premium services of Hooq or Spotify, and free shipping. You can register for Globe's myLifestysle Plan 999 with the free Huaweu GR5 here

Anyway, I have a lot of stories to share about Sandbox and its new fun offers on the next blog post. For now, let's continue exploring how to make life easier when you have to work on weekends. Live for the weekend everybody! :)
