Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam

Bangkok won't be Bangkok without the parties. The Telegraph listed Bangkok as among the Top 15 Best Party Cities in the World, the only place in Asia to be included. The UK-based website described Siam's pride city to be "enigmatic" and "full of sights, smells and sounds, most especially at night." It's awesome to realize how Bangkok has it all; from bars to intimate music venues, cocktail lounges, posh rooftop clubs, and of course, the go-go bars.

There's no doubt that a vibrant party scene is one of the many reasons why visitors from around the world flock in the Thai capital. And Bangkok is not taking it for granted. They also became one of the world's nicest hosts.

The city has an abundant lineup of accommodations, ranging from 5-star luxurious hotels to welcoming hostels, that even if it is travel season all-year long in Thailand, you'll never run out of a nice bed to bury your tired body on to after a bombastic night.

Since we got curious about all the news of Bangkok's not shy nightlife, we went back with a different itinerary in mind. No more elephants and less of the temples. We dove deep into the pulsating tiny alleys of central Bangkok. Lucky for us, Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam was ready to welcome us after the revelries with no judgment, whatsoever.

The night before and the morning after...

Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam is one of the many Holiday Inn's in Bangkok and is tasked to present a rather humble face for the brand. It isn't pretentious but it is sensitive of your needs. First, the location is very near the National Stadium sky train. You don't even have to ride the BTS to get to your evening's first destination. A few walks away is the Siam Plaza and the Siam Paragon which have their own bars and drinking lounges. But if you opt for something adventurous, the Silom area is a good 15- 20 minutes taxi away given free-moving traffic. And you know that the talked-about Patpong area is located only at the next street from Silom.

Next to the location is the hotel's straightforward accommodation. You don't need a jacuzzi to heal a hangover, I suppose. If you really partied hard, all you need is a really comfortable bed. Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam, like any other hotels in the IHG network, prides itself with top-quality bed products. The finest pillows (they carefully labelled the four pillows as soft and medium soft), comforters and sheets are what pillows.com describes as  "luxury each and every night."

Specific to Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam, there's no worries if you are craving for something to eat even in the middle of the night. Your after parties can be held in McDonald's, which is right at the ground floor of the hotel, or at any of the authentic, low-priced Thai restaurants and kitchenettes located just a few steps from the hotel. Three 7 Eleven stores are also within the hotel's 1-kilometer radius just in case you want over-the-counter snacks.

...And the next day

Holiday Inn's staff are English-educated too. Never mind the accent, you would be glad to know that it won't be difficult to communicate with the staff. This isn't the case in other middle-range Bangkok accommodations, trust me. They also would love to think ahead, giving prompt responses to what they think you will need, like getting a cab which is usually partnered with specific tips like paying for meter or the fixed rate.

Lastly, not only is Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam strategically located, it is also in a safe district. Upscale malls are within the area so security is tight. Don't be surprised if big uniformed guys on their motorcycles are stationed in almost every corner. It is nothing special. It's basic security protocol.

Excited to hop into your big Bangkok blowout? I suggest staying at Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam. If you are still not convinced, here are more honest reviews from Trip Advisor. As for my fun night, what happened in Bangkok, would stay in Bangkok. :)
