Everyday Makeup.

On an everyday basis I like to keep my makeup basic. I often tend to focus on base rather than lips or eyes because I prefer a fuller coverage due to redness on my face

After I have cleansed my face (I will write a post on my skincare routine soon) I use Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser to keep my skin hydrated throughout the day. Depending on how long I will be wearing makeup, I sometimes will apply MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer before my foundation. I follow this by mixing L'Oreal True Match foundation in Ivory and Rimmel Match Perfection in Light Porcelain on the back of my hand to make the correct colour match. I then apply this using my Beautyblender which I dampen with water. I find the Beautyblender applies my foundation flawlessly when I use a stippling motion.

I then use the very popular Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair to cover any redness on my cheeks or around my nose that the foundation didn't cover, I also use it lightly underneath my eyes. I use my Beautyblender to blend in my concealer too. I then set my foundation and concealer with the Rimmel Match Perfection Silky Loose Face Powder  in Transparent with a Sigma Large Powder - F20 brush and then I use the Real Techniques Contour brush for under my eyes, around my nose and on any blemishes that I may have at the time.

I also use the Sigma Large Powder - F20 brush or the Real Techniques Buffing brush to apply my bronzer - Vivo's Baked Bronzer in Sun Kiss, I apply it along the top of my cheekbones as it has a light shimmer to it so it acts like a highlighter too. I also use the powder brush to lightly apply my blush - Rimmel's Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in Santa Rose just to the apples of my cheeks.

I then use a tiny amount of Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream to tame my brows using the wand from MUA's Clear mascara (I normally use this for my brows, but as you can see from the picture it has pretty much run out. My eight hour cream works so well so I might not replace it).

I then curl my lashes with eyelash curlers that I have owned for way too long (since I was a teenager!) so unfortunately I cannot remember where they are from but you can get perfectly cheap curlers from Superdrug or Boots. I feel that curling your eyelashes is essential to get the 'wide awake' fluttery lashes.

At the moment I am using L'Oreal's Falsh Lash Telescopic mascara in Magnetic Black which lengthens my eyelashes. I prefer longer looking lashes over volumised lashes as I think a lot of mascara's clump when they claim that they volumise.

I then finish my eyes with Rimmel's Scandleyes Waterproff Kohl Kajal in Nude on my waterline. This nude colour helps cover any redness on the waterline whilst opening up my eyes. It definitely helps when I'm looking slightly tired.

Finally I use Burts Bees Replenishing Lip Balm in Pomegranate (which smells amazing) just to add moisture to my lips as there is not much colour payoff.
