My Top Lipsticks

Lipsticks have become one of my favourite beauty products over the past year, I just can't get enough!

So I've decided to put this post together to tell you about my current favs.

Left-Right: Bourjois Nude-ist, Rimmel 101, Rimmel Heartbreaker, Revlon Pink In The Afternoon, Rimmel 107, Rimmel 08 & L'Oreal Lovely Rose.

First is one of my latest purchases and believe it or not my first Lipstick from this brand. Revlon's Pink In The Afternoon is a colour I had been umming and arring about for a while now but once I swatched it in Boots I needed it.
This is a warm shade of pink and on me a 'Your lips but better' kind of colour. It is one of Revlon's Lustrous lipsticks which means it is quite moisturising on the lips.

Next is L'Oreal's Rouge Caresse in 03 Lovely Rose. This is a sheer cool toned pink lipstick which can become a more opaque colour upon application. I always tend to wear this when I emphasise my eyes with either black eyeshadow or black eyeliner, the two colours just complement each other so well.

Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick in Heartbreaker is a deep raspberry shade and because I'm fair skinned it's a great choice as a winter lip. It is highly pigmented which means you can really get that bold lip look with this lipstick which I love this time of year.
The texture is very smooth and slightly creamy, so not drying to the lips at all. Also it has a signature smell and I'm such a fan!

The fourth lipstick on my list is Rimmel's Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss in Soft Pink 101 which is another pale pink toned lipstick and again I love to wear this when I have black on my eyes.
With this formula being matte it means it last that little bit longer however after a while it does tend to feel a litte drying but maybe thats due to me not topping it up.
And a long with all of the Rimmel lipsticks I own it has that signature scent.

Oh look! Another Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte lipstick by Kate Moss in the colour that every beauty blogger/Youtuber seems to have - 107 Wine. This is many girls go to autumn lipstick and I completely understand why. I love this colour in the cooler months when the darker colours and shade come out to play. It's one of my favourite lipsticks as I think it makes you look as if you have put more effort into your makeup than you actually have. Plus I see this as being a stepping stone into me trying deeper shades in the future.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 07 Nude-ist is my first lip purchase from the brand as their lip products have never really appealed to me before. That was until I saw this shade and jumped on the Kylie Jenner Lip colour band wagon! So as you might of guessed from that reference the shade is a muted brownie pink
This is a liquid lipstick which dries matte. And when they say velvet, they really mean it! The texture is so nice that when I first apply it I can't stop myself from rubbing my lips together - weird I know!
Due to its foam applicator you can get a very precise application, which is never a bad thing.
And just a little note on the smell, it's not great but luckily it doesn't linger.

Whilst were on the subject of the Kylie Jenner lip trend I put forward my final favourite lipstick, Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in shade 08. This lipstick has more brown tones running through it than the Bourjois one and I was worried I had made a mistake purchasing it. However once I applied it to my lips it seemed to suit my skin tone.
I use this as an everyday neutral lipstick which will look great no matter the time of year.
The formula of this line is classed as matte but it does feel more matte than creamy but it isn't a problem as it never feels drying on the lips.

If you have been able to tell already, I quite like similar shades of lipsticks. So if you know of any lipsticks that are similar in colour to the ones I mention above let me know.
I also want to know what your current favourite lipstick is.

Thanks for reading :)
