Making turbine blades DIY

Hi,

My 800 w wind turbine need too much speed to start.
Start spinning and generate energy.

I guess you would have the same problems..
Lol
Unless you live in windy area.

We live in Isaan, Thailand.
Low wind speeds!

Originally I'm from Holland, land of the windmills and tulips.

Our miller's simply changed the blades, adding cloth to increase the surface area to keep the mill working at low wind speeds.

While there are many differences, aerodinamica did not change the last 10.000 years.

My standard blades don't have enough surface and/or the wrong pitch.
They are nice "plastic" blades, and I'm sure they are strong and light.
Using aluminium sheet I hope to get strong enough blades.

Who made their own blades?
What do I need to take into consideration when I make them?

Thanks!
