It was winter in Ontario there was a lot snow on the ground as usual for that time of the year. There was a big empty field between our House and Grandpa and Granny's house.  The snow as usual was deep. My Dad , Mom and my brothers and sisters where busy playing in the house. Dad was looking out the kitchen window when all of a sudden Dad said that he something in the field. I  pulled up a chair to the window to see what it was. Its a  Bear Dad said and it looks like its heading towards the house.When I looked and saw what Dad was looking at ,it was big and furry and heading toward our house.As  it got closer Dad would say that yes for sure it looks like a bear. We started to get nervous thinking that the bear would maybe come into the house. I looked out the window and as it got closer  and closer to the house. We were getting scared. We could here foot prints outside the door when all of a sudden the door opened and in came my Granny in a furry type coat ,Dad began to laugh knowing all along that what we saw was Granny and not a bear after all. When we told Granny how Dad had played a joke on us and said that she was a bear she gave Dad heck and then laughed.
