The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich is celebrating Switzerland’s most famous architect, Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, also known as Le Corbusier. From the 9th June till 29th November 2020, the museum is holding their second exhibition in the refurbished Pavillon Le Corbusier and celebrating the close relationship the architect had with Zurich.
Thanks to a relationship with publisher Hans Girsberger, art historian Sigfried Giedion, and interior designer Heidi Weber, Zurich became the most important platform for Le Corbusier’s international reputation. The Museum’s exhibition draws on archives, works of art, furniture, architectural models, photographs, and historical documents to illustrate the link between the city of Zurich and Le Corbusier.
