John Wayne stars as John Blair, a Pony Express rider who goes into business with his friend Larry Adams (Lane Chandler) running a stagecoach line. When they get swindled and end up owning a worthless stagecoach route, their only hope of staying in afloat is to enter a stagecoach race and win a government mail contract.
