I've suggested several times before on the blog, and personally went this route when I needed to purchase a bridesmaid dress, that a perfect way to save money on a gown is to try on dresses in a store to see which type you and the bride like best and which kind looks best on your figure and then find something similar online. This will help you get the look you want for less than half what you would pay in a boutique or bridal shop. If the bridesmaid dresses are in a universal color, like navy or classic red, you won't have to worry about color matching. Another option would be for the bride to have all of the bridesmaids pick from the same website to make sure the colors match properly.


If you're concerned about sale items not being on trend, take a quick look at the new fall collections, or simply go with a classic piece. There are quite a few pieces from these prom dresses 2016 that will still be on trend both this fall and well into 2017.
