What’s the key to maintaining a healthy mane or Tail on a horse? In my experience – a good diet, lots of conditioner and keeping it protected. Fira is queen of the long mane and tail club over here. Tail bags are an easy way help keep your horse’s tail clean and out of the elements. Since I live in SoCal, Fira’s tail is down most of the year because of our extra long fly season, but I do like to braid it and put it in a tail bag during our winter rains.
