THE CRITICAL ROLE OF OUR BRAIN IN RATIONING WATER WITHIN THE BODY

Tags: body brain amount
The Brain is the managing director of everything that happens in you. In relation to water levels, it decides what amount of it should go to each organ or part of the Body and the amount that should be used to flush waste material out of you. Of course, you can never be aware of these and several other thousands of complex decisions that your brain is taking all the time. You only eventually feel the effects of typically those that are uncomfortable, such as weakness, dizziness or some other discomforts. Nonetheless, as stated earlier in this blog, when you feel thirsty, this is a mild crisis within your body. You have become so dry or dehydrated that whether you like it or not, your body forces you to take in some water.
Water levels within us are so critical that, during several million years of human life on earth, our bodies developed some reactions that save water. For instance, an organ such as the colon (i.e., the large intestine) normally returns to the body water  that it does not need. That is why its contents of faeces are relatively denser than their previous condition while, as digested food, they were passing through the small intestine and the nutrients in them were being sucked into the blood stream. That is also why the faeces of victims of chronic constipation are almost as hard as pebbles.
Therefore, if you drink ample amounts of water each day, your body will keep signalling the large intestine that it already has enough and, therefore, the water that would have been returned to the body would remain in the contents of the large intestine. This would then make the faeces softer and easier to flush out and, as a result, cure an existing problem of constipation or piles (haemorrhoids) or make any of these health problems less likely.
If there is enough water in the body, then the work of the brain is made easier. If there is less than enough of it, the brain is forced to organize a system of priorities that gives some organs more of it than others. Of course, below some critical minimum, the victim would already slowly be dying and the transit stations in this process are various disease conditions. Obviously, if these conditions are not properly addressed, the final destination is death. Deserts all over the world have remains of humans and various animals that have suffered this final fate.
There are at least two ways to assist the body with adequate amounts of water. The most obvious of them is by taking enough of it each day. The other method that is not so obvious is to avoid or drastically reduce your intake of various spices, sugar (i.e., refined or artificial types and honey), sodas (soft drinks), alcohol, aluminium sulphate (used in purifying water) and several other substances that increase urine output and thereby reduce water levels in the body.
