The Swiss Seismological Service at ETH Zurich has detected an earthquake in the canton of Waadt, near Château d'Oex. The earthquake occurred on 1 July 2017 at 10:10:34 (local time) with a Magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale. This earthquake is likely to have been felt across Switzerland. An earthquake of this magnitude can possibly cause light Damage in the vicinity of the epicenter.
Le Service Sismologique Suisse à l'ETH Zurich a enregistré un tremblement de terre dans le canton Vaud, près de Château d'Oex. La secousse a eu lieu le 1 juillet 2017 à 10:10:34 (heure locale)
avec une magnitude de 4.3 sur l'échelle de Richter. Ce tremblement de terre a pu être ressenti dans toute la Suisse. Quelques dégâts légers sont possibles à proximité de l’épicentre pour un tremblement de terre de cette magnitude.
Der Schweizerische Erdbebendienst an der ETH Zürich hat im Kanton Waadt, bei Château d'Oex ein Erdbeben registriert. Das Beben ereignete sich am 1. Juli 2017 um 10:10:34 Uhr (Lokalzeit) mit einer Magnitude von 4.3 auf der Richterskala. Dieses Erdbeben dürfte in der ganzen Schweiz verspürt worden sein. Kleinere Schäden sind bei einem Erdbeben dieser Stärke in der Nähe des Epizentrums vereinzelt möglich.

Update 08:30 UTC: Based on the number of readers in our site, we were surprised that no more people jumped to their computers to see what was going on at a Magnitude M5.0 earthquake. Now the explanation comes a little later. The initial M5.0 value was quickly updated to M4, luckily a lot of difference

Update 08:26 UTC: Based on the present earthquake parameters (Magnitude, Depth, Population, etc) and our experience with earthquake damage impact, earthquake-report.com does expect at least some slight damage like cracks in walls, fallen tiles, etc.
