The 2014 US Open Women's Doubles Championship has been concluded. But not everybody who are rooting someone to win will celebrate. In fact, the No.4 seed pairing of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina won the doubles championship, their second Grand Slam doubles title, over unseeded pairing of Martina Hingis and Flavia Pennetta. Thus, denying Hingis to capture another Grand Slam title since 2002 Australian Open with Anna Kournikova.
