In Manipal, on October 18, 2023, a young biker named Akshay Bhat lost his life in a tragic accident. He was on his way to a temple to cook for a special event when he lost control of his bike and crashed near BM School on the National Highway in Parkala on a Wednesday morning.

Akshay, 26, from Hiriyadka, worked as a cook. Akshay sustained serious head injuries and died before being admitted to hospital.
