A bunch of Indian folks hopped on a special flight from Tel Aviv to India as part of Operation Ajay. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs arranged this flight to bring people back from Israel.

As they got on the plane, passengers cheered and chanted slogans like ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai.’

The Indian Ambassador to Israel, Sanjeev Singla, reassured that the Indian Embassy in Israel is dedicated to safeguarding Indian citizens during the conflict in Israel. He mentioned that, as part of “Operation Ajay,” the embassy will assist Indian nationals who want to return to India, as reported by ANI.

The Indian embassy in Israel is also helping Indian businesses and has set up a dedicated helpline to support Indian citizens in need.

Additionally, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has set up a 24/7 control center to keep an eye on the escalating conflict and offer assistance and information as required.

Today, the External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, stated that the first chartered flight under Operation Ajay will arrive in Tel Aviv later tonight to bring back Indian citizens and is expected to return to India tomorrow morning. Bagchi also confirmed that there have been no reports of Indian casualties so far and urged Indian citizens to follow advisories issued by the Indian mission.

India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, led a meeting to assess the readiness and arrangements for “Operation Ajay.”

On the other hand, Israel’s military chief declared the need for war, and Israel deployed tanks near the Gaza Strip in preparation for a ground operation to combat the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which controls the enclave, as reported by Reuters.

In the Gaza Strip, the humanitarian crisis deepened as the region’s only power plant ran out of fuel on Wednesday. Israeli airstrikes had caused destruction in neighborhoods, leading thousands to seek shelter.
