New audio claims Charles was disappointed when Prince Harry was born

 A new audio recording has been released of Princess Diana speaking to Prince Charles of England, now King Charles III. – disappointed that Prince Harry was born a boy instead of a girl.



The late Princess made numerous tapes in her 1990s, which she secretly delivered to writer Andrew Morton before her death in a high-speed car crash in 1997.


Portions of the audio recording will be heard for the first time ahead of a documentary called Diana: The Rest of Her Story, which will be released next year. Thursday

marked the 26th anniversary of Princess Diana's death.


ABC's Good Morning America was able to hear EXCLUSIVELY a tape in which Princess Diana says her husband wouldn't even talk to her stepmother Lane Spencer.


"Because at Prince Harry's christening, Charles went to Mama and said, 'You know, we were so disappointed. We thought it was a girl,'" she said.



"And my mother broke her head and said, 'You should realize how lucky you are to have a normal child,'" she recalls.


Since that day, Princess Diana has said: "The shutter is down. If anyone answers him, the shutter is down." announced that he was retiring from the role. The royal family has stepped down and plans to split its time between Britain and North America to become financially independent.


In response, the late Queen Elizabeth issued a statement at the time that she would no longer perform official duties and that she would not receive public funding for royal duties.


Since then, the two have starred in a Netflix documentary criticizing the media and its treatment of the royal family, and Prince Harry has opened up about his own past in his memoir Spare.


In the newly released footage, Diana also opened up about her troubled relationship with her stepmother.


"And I said, 'I hate you. If only you knew how much we hate you because of what you did. You ruined the house.' "You spent your dad's money. I said all I could," she said.

"Pain, Rain?"

She remembered Spencer replying, "I don't know how much pain your mother gave Dad." " Words I don't know how to handle. In my work and in my role, I have seen people suffer in ways I have never seen before. And do you call it pain? I said you still have a lot to learn. I remember really grabbing her by the throat.


Her biographer Andrew Morton told ABC's Good Morning America Friday that she was truly "moved" to hear her voice and her views on the monarchy firsthand. Ta.


"She never thought for a second that Camilla was going to be queen, so we have a very different perspective on how the story unfolds," Morton said.


There is a total of 7 hours of tapes. Asked if he would release more audio recordings, Morton said, "There's been interest from all over the world, but we'll have to see what happens."
