The primary purpose of Sexual intercourse amongst  humans and animals is for procreation. Humans who want to make babies biologically cannot do without it. Animals engage in it in order to reproduce  their offspring. Another reason, which we may refer to as the secondary purpose is for pleasure, that is, in some cases, to reduce sexual tension, particularly amongst humans. Whether  animals also engage in it to reduce  sexual tension is a matter of  contention.

Normal humans have times and seasons to engage in sexual intercourse if they are doing it for the purpose of making babies; otherwise, they will  not achieve their aim. Biologically, the woman must be in her ovulation period for her to conceive.  As for animals, the female species must be on heat for it to conceive. As nature would have it, the male specie knows when the female specie is on heat, and that is the time both of them  would come together to mate.

One major difference between animals and humans in copulation is that animals can do it anywhere and at any time  insofar the female is on heat. Whereas,  humans are known to preserve their dignity by having it mainly at a chosen time and in an enclosed place. Again, humans who must engage in sexual activity for the purpose of giving birth must attain a certain age  in life when they will be able to produce  the required eggs to fertilize the eggs of their counterpart for them to be able to conceive.  

A situation where a young female student of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Imo state, Nigeria ascribes her academic success to God and her sexual exploits leaves a lot to imagine! It beats our imagination how she could be so proud and bold to publicly declare and confess that she ostensibly sold her body in exchange for academic success. This is nothing but a debasement of womanhood!

The young girl whose video appeared  on Facebook on Monday, January 29, 2023 gave thanks to God and her pu**y for the successful completion of her polytechnic education. The statement is an allusion that she either exchanged sex for marks or engaged in prostitution to raise money for her education. This is unacceptable and condemnable as it runs contrary to the primary  and secondary purposes of sex!

Sexual activity amongst humans should be dignified and not debased.
