Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, commonly known as AY, has described what it's like to have only the Clothes and shoes he brought on holiday in his wardrobe.
The total loss of the singer's property after the Lagos fire is no longer news. The performer then moved to the United States with his family and has lived there ever since. AY complained about his situation on a micro-blogging platform.
Despite the serious loss, he is confident that he will use his difficulties as a springboard to rebuild his life. He believes that there is no such thing as starting over and is sure that God will not fail him.
"It's a strange feeling to realize that the only clothes, shoes and jewelry I have now are the ones I traveled with. There is no such thing as going back to the beginning. We rebuild our lives as a stepping stone to greatness.
God, don't be ashamed of us." Right now, I only have the clothes and shoes I traveled with.” Ayo Comedy Laments after his house burnt.

It feels weird to realize that the only clothes, shoes, and jewelries I have right now are the ones I traveled with... There is no such thing as going back to square one. We shall rebuild our lives using this adversity as a stepping stone to greatness. God, no go shame us. pic.twitter.com/WifiDbXD4d
