The much-anticipated sub-brand from Nothing, CMF by Nothing, has unveiled its intention to make its presence felt with budget-friendly offerings. India is slated to be among the first countries to experience the launch of CMF by Nothing's forthcoming products. In a promising development, recent hints indicate that the startup has successfully registered two products in India, both of which have received the green light from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
The disclosure comes courtesy of well-known tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414), who shared revealing images on the Bis Certification site. The two products in question are identified as B163, categorized as wireless earphones, and D395, listed under the Smartwatch domain. Notably, the smartwatch's BIS approval dates back to June 16, while the earphones secured their spot on July 23.
Previously, another tipster, Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), uncovered the presence of a power adapter, codenamed C332, listed by CMF by Nothing on the BIS certification platform. This intriguing discovery hints at the adapter being tailored for the smartwatch, as suggested by the tipster.
While comprehensive details regarding the design and specifications of the smartwatch and earphones remain scarce, this smartwatch from CMF by Nothing will mark the brand's maiden foray into the Indian market. It's important to note that the CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei, has confirmed that both Nothing and CMF will operate under separate teams.
Notably, Nothing has already made its mark in India with its products, including the popular Nothing Ear 2, the Ear 1, and the Ear Stick (TWS) earbuds. The Ear 2 is priced at Rs. 8,999, while the Ear Stick is available for Rs. 4,999.
The brand recently introduced the Nothing Phone 2, which starts at Rs. 44,999. This smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, offering up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of built-in storage. The device houses a robust 4,700mAh battery with support for 45W PPS wired charging, 15W Qi wireless charging, and 5W wireless reverse charging. The Nothing Phone 2 boasts a dual rear camera setup spearheaded by a 50-megapixel primary camera.
