The Fearless, the Merciless, the Grand French Champ: The Bugatti Chiron With all its versions

Behold the Bugatti Chiron

Manufactured by the famous French automaker Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S and unveiled on 1st March 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Bugatti Chiron was no joke. Being a successor to the famous and multiple record-breaking Bugatti Veyron, the Chiron was built to take everything Veyron did to the next level. Upon its reveal, the Bugatti Chiron made a clear statement of domination to its competitors. This luxury, sporty, and high-performance vehicle is just a menace to other high-performance supercars in the automotive society.

Bugatti Chiron's undoubtedly unbeatable aura

No doubt, the first glance at the Bugatti Chiron makes one ask himself, how can a supercar be this perfect? Yes, not only does the modern, classy, and aggressive exterior or the interior of the Bugatti Chiron scream superiority and excellence, but its wild performance stats also impress as equally as its visual appeal. In perfect contrast with satisfying looks, the beastly W16 engine of the Chiron with heavy upgrades, taken from the Veyron, is like no other, pushing limits and breaking records. Other than that, the stiff chassis and the technology beneath that cleverly engineered body prove to be state-of-the-art high-performance elements.

Generations of the Bugatti Chiron

Based on the legendary Bugatti Veyron, the big jet-on-wheels Bugatti Chiron with all versions is considered to have only one generation, which was released in 2016, as told earlier, but this model packed a solid punch. With all new equipment ranging from the body to electronics and the engine, this Bugatti Chiron with all versions was a game changer for the French manufacturer, breaking land speed records as the fastest car.

When we pop the rear hood

One of the most iconic engines ever built, the W16 carried on from the Veyron Super Sport, has been blessed to the Bugatti Chiron with all versions, but this engine is a little tweaked. A little? All right, it's a lot squeezed! With the Quad-Turbocharged 8-liter 16-cylinder engine, the Chiron's power increased to 1479 hp and 1600 Nm of torque, 279 hp more than the Veyron Super Sport.

This powerful engine, coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Haldex All-wheel drive system, enables the Bugatti Chiron to reach 60 mph from a standstill in 2.3 seconds, according to Bugatti. It has an outrageous electronically limited top speed of 261 mph. Not only this, but the Bugatti Chiron with all versions has impeccable speed timings as it set the world record in 2017 for reaching the highest speed of 249 mph (400 kph) from a standstill and braking back to 0 in just 42 seconds.

Inside the Bugatti Chiron with all versions

Renowned for its extraordinary performance, the Bugatti Chiron with all versions also has high standards of craftsmanship in its interior. Being a racecar, it has a perfect blend of opulent materials and a minimal amount of high-tech features with elite versatility, utility, modernism, and attention to detail, which are evident inside the meticulously handcrafted luxurious cabin that includes:

· A flat-bottomed steering wheel with integrated controls

· glossy center console made from a single piece of solid aluminum

· Paddle shifters

· Digital instrument cluster

· Leather-clad seats with brilliant lateral support

· Engine start button

· Variety of colors, materials, and finishes for the owners to choose and personalize their Chiron

Exterior of the Bugatti Chiron with all versions

Starting with the iconic two-tone paint option on the Chiron is like nothing else. Like the Veyron, the Bugatti Chiron, with all versions, comes with a C-shaped side panel exterior design. Exclusively designed, this car has an eye-catching and a very unique outlook.

The set of 4 LED cubes in each headlight is perfectly designed to show the Chiron's fierce nature. These lights accompany the signature Bugatti Horseshoe Grille.

The sharp, sweeping lines and contours with streamlined bodywork and a powerful rear wing lower the drag and complete the Chiron's silhouette to perfection—the sleek

And modern taillights pairing up with the gigantic exhaust system round off the Chiron's back.

The drive of the Bugatti Chiron with all versions

The electric steering system of the Bugatti Chiron and all of its versions is one of the best one can experience. Typically, it astonishes at high speeds, juggling through tight, windy roads, and then the all-wheel drive kicks in with its severe and accurate power to get you out of tight turns quickly and swiftly. The braking ability and cornering of this car are exceptional as it is a big vehicle but still manages to be precise like no other.

The airflow is immaculate, allowing the Chiron to be super smooth in its runs, way better than the Veyron. The suspension, stiff chassis, and weight distribution of this mid-engined Bugatti Chiron and its versions are so perfectly balanced that one feels total control of the ride without peeking at the speedometer once.

Bugatti Chiron with all versions

From 2016 to 2022, the Bugatti Chiron has been produced in some variants. These variants are:

  • Chiron Sport
  • Chiron Sport 110 Ans Bugatti
  • Chiron Super Sport 300+
  • Chiron Noire
  • Chiron Pur Sport
  • Chiron Sport “Les Légendes du Ciel”
  • Chiron Super Sport 2021
  • Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix
  • Chiron Profilée

Chiron Sport

This track-focused variant of the Chiron was unveiled in 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show. Being the same as the base Chiron, this version produced 1480 hp. It weighed 18 kg less than the base model because of the extensive use of Carbon Fiber, which helped a lot in galloping from the start line and helping in tight corners. It also got torque vectoring and other steering modifications to improve handling and lap timings.

Chiron Sport 110 Ans Bugatti

Unveiled in February 2019, this Chiron variant was built to celebrate 110 years of Bugatti, as the name suggests. Matte steel blue exterior color and Carbon fiber bodywork were the main highlights of this variant.

Also, the French Flag is visible on the wing mirrors, fuel filler cap, and on the underside of the rear wing. The interior is also finished in blue Alcantara, with the French Flag at the back of the headrests and on the steering wheel. Performance specs are the same as the base Chiron, but the visuals were enhanced. Production was limited to only 20 units.

Chiron Super Sport 300+

This monstrous high-performance variant of the Bugatti Chiron was introduced on 8th September 2019, mesmerizing the automotive community. As precious as it is, the production was kept to only 30 units. An increase in performance was seen as it produced 1580 hp, and longer gear ratios also increased the top speed. In August 2019, the pre-production model of this car achieved a top speed of 300 mph and broke the barrier. It takes the exhaust system from the Centodieci, and some exterior changes were also seen on it, for example, the more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers along with the grey Bugatti logo made of black enamel and silver.

Chiron Noire

This version was announced in 2019 to celebrate the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Coupé Aero No. 57453, also known as "La Voiture Noir." Being a particular edition version, this model was only available in two trims.

  • The Noire Élégance has a black exposed carbon fiber body
  • The Noire Sportive has a black exposed carbon fiber body covered with a matte black finish

The Chiron began its market sales in mid-2020 and has the same performance specs as the base Bugatti Chiron.

Chiron Pur Sport

The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport was introduced on 3rd March 2020 and was a handling-focused model. It had the following highlights:

· Additional 200 rpm in the tachometer with the red line beginning from 69,000 pm

· 15% closer gear-ration spread

· 50 kg lighter than the base Chiron as it has the 3-D printed titanium exhaust

· Fixed rear spoiler

· Wheels having special spokes called the Aero Blades

· Michelin Sport Cup 2R tires

· Springs at the front was made 65 percent stiffer and 33 percent at the rear to improve handling

· New Sport+ driving mode

· A total of 60 units were produced

Chiron Sport Les Légendes du Ciel

Again, this version was unveiled in 2020 to pay tribute to the Bugatti's racing drivers who flew in the French Air Force. This car has a French flag behind the front wheels with a new grille, and the exterior finish is in matte grey with the interior in tan leather upholstery. A total of 20 units were produced.

Chiron Super Sport 2021

It was unveiled on 8th June 2021. The reason for this version was to be a standard version of the record-breaking Chiron 300+, but it didn't have some racing features, unlike the 300+. It has no interior stiffening, and more luxurious leather upholstery in the cabin is present for it to be more like a regular Chiron. It has the same power output and specs as the 300+, but the top speed is limited to 273 mph. It can do immensely wild runs quickly, such as a 0-124 mph run in 5.8 seconds and 0-186 mph in 12.1 seconds. The number of produced units is 70-80.

Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix

Announced in December 2021, the Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix is Bugatti's one-off car. It is Bugatti's first production car of the "Sur Mesure" program and was built to pay tribute to Louis Chiron, who won the French Grand Prix in his type-51 model and then later, with Achille Varzi, developed the legendary type-35, enhancing the type-51. It has the same specs as the Pur Sport, but its visual appeal has been enhanced by hand-painting number 32 on the doors as Louis Chiron and Achille Varzi displayed this number on their cars while racing.

Chiron Profilée

The Chiron Profile is also a one-off Bugatti car introduced in December 2022. Only one example was built and was sold at an auction by RM Sotheby's. The Chiron Pur Sport has something more than the Pur Sport. A more prominent grille, wider Air Dams, reinforced front splitter, and a relatively small rear wing hollow from the middle are the key features of its outlook. Some other features are:

· Reinforced steering and suspension system

· 15% shorter gear ration

· Silver finish

· Has the fastest acceleration as any other Chiron, as it can do 0-60 mph in just over 2 seconds and has a top speed of 236 mph.

· First Chiron to have woven leather on the dashboard, door panels, and center console

Are they priced at?

Engineered to be one of the finest 2-door coupe hypercars, the Chiron indeed makes a difference. With that big engine and that experience of the drive, the hefty price of this Chiron doesn't tease you that much. By far, it is one of the best hypercars ever made to date.
