Google has disclosed that the Traffic flow in multiple major global Cities is being positively impacted by their AI-powered system, Project Green Light. With the intention of lowering fuel consumption and vehicle-related air pollution, this project was first implemented in 2021 and has since been spread to 12 cities.
Google’s Yossi Matias gave an update on the project’s progress. Significant traffic issues are the main locations where Project Green Light is being tested. These are busy junctions with intricate traffic signals where cars regularly stop and start. Pollution and traffic jams may be brought on at these intersections.

Currently, the program is being implemented in cities such as Bangalore, Budapest, Jakarta, Manchester, Haifa, Hamburg, Rio de Janeiro, and Seattle in order to address traffic-related difficulties and develop innovative transportation systems.
