In low-lying areas, Managing Director (MD) WASA Muhammad Tanveer has placed heavy equipment and workers to improve drainage and lessen the effects of flooding.

The water level in Nallah Lai has reached a critical threshold, which is one of the main causes for concern. Authorities have confirmed that the water flow is currently normal, nevertheless. Water levels in the canal are substantially higher than before, measuring 5 feet at Katarian and 4 feet at Gwalmandi Bridge.

MD WASA is personally in charge of managing the water extraction in the affected areas in order to deal with the situation. The Committee Chowk city subway was able to manage the traffic, ensuring that there was no disturbance to transportation.

186 mm of rain fell just in Rawalpindi. Shamsabad reported the most rainfall with 188 mm, followed by Bokra with 138 mm, Golra with 103 mm, and Chaklala with 79 mm. Particularly in low-lying regions with poorly maintained drains, the rising water levels in several locations of Rawalpindi have caused water to infiltrate streets and homes.

In regions like Katarian and Gwalmandi, where the water is rising to dangerous levels, the commissioner of the Rawalpindi division has ordered the evacuation of all pertinent agencies.

In order to help the district government deal with situations, particularly in the Nala Lai area, the Pakistan Army has also been contacted. The Pakistan Army and Rescue 1122 have been stationed in various locations to aid and support the afflicted locals.
