Hwasa, a member of the popular K-pop girl group MAMAMOO, is currently facing allegations of causing discomfort with her recent performance. The Student Parents and Human Rights Protection Solidarity took the matter seriously and filed a police complaint regarding Hwasa’s performance at the Sungkyunkwan University Festival. Hwasa’s agency, P Nation, provided a brief comment in response to the situation.

On Monday, an incident occurred during Hwasa’s performance at the Sungkyunkwan University Festival, which was being filmed for tvN’s show Dancing Queens On The Road. While performing her solo song “Don’t,” Hwasa allegedly made a suggestive gesture that was deemed inappropriate by some individuals. The association involved in the matter has raised concerns about her actions during the performance.


Agency reacts to allegations on Hwasa


According to various Korean news outlets, the Student Parents and Human Rights Protection Solidarity organization has accused Hwasa of causing discomfort to viewers during her performance. They expressed that her gesture made the public feel “shame” and considered it inappropriate in the context of the performance. In response to the incident, Hwasa’s agency acknowledged that the police are currently reviewing the case, as reported by Soompi.
