 Imran Khan is a Pakistani politician, former cricketer, and philanthropist who has served as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan since August 2018.

Khan was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1952. He attended Oxford University and played cricket professionally for Pakistan and for various teams around the world. After retiring from cricket in 1992, Khan became involved in philanthropy and social issues in Pakistan. He founded the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, a leading cancer hospital in Lahore, and the Namal College, a college in Mianwali, Pakistan.

In 1996, Khan founded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political party and ran for office in several Pakistani elections. He was finally successful in the 2018 general election, and his PTI party won a plurality of seats in the National Assembly. Khan was sworn in as Prime Minister in August 2018.

As Prime Minister, Khan has focused on issues such as economic reform, anti-corruption, and improving relations with other countries. He has also made efforts to address social issues in Pakistan, such as education and health care.
