Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso’s agent his client’s interest in the Serie A.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Calcio Napoli 24, Mario Hermoso’s agent, Inaki Espizua, commented on the interest from Serie A clubs like Juventus, Inter and Napoli. He confirmed that his client and Atletico Madrid are far from a contract renewal and indicated that his future lies elsewhere. He said: “At the moment, we are far from a renewal with Atletico Madrid”

Espizua spoke about Napoli being an alluring option for the player as it is a prestigious destination. He said: “Out of respect for all the clubs, I don’t want to speak about individual clubs but Napoli is certainly in the Serie A and can be a prestigious destination for him”

Hermoso’s agent lightly touched on the rumoured interest from Inter but made no significant claims on it.  It did seem as if the player was offered to Inter, but the Nerazzurri aren’t keen on the move and aren’t too keen on signing a new defender in the summer transfer window.

Serie A seems to be the preferred destination for the Spaniard after five seasons with Los Colchoneros. A transfer battle is expected to take place between Juventus, Inter and Napoli if Mario Hermoso opens up to a departure this summer.
