Italy were forced into a late change shortly before their Six Nations rugby international against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday when replacement lock Andrea Zambonin withdrew with a stomach problem.
His place was taken by Riccardo Favretto.
Both Italy and Wales, who have lost all four of their previous matches in the tournament, are battling to avoid finishing bottom of the table on what is the last day of the championship.
