$SP.00) has to be given another look. I was keen on him running well last Saturday in the Queensland Cup but he bombed the start and that pretty much sealed his fate. He actually did a good job to finish as close as he did behind Fancy Man. Back to benchmark grade, if that run hasn’t busted him, the prior runs suggested he’s going well enough to win.

1 Fifth Position (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has been a bit disappointing since joining Tony Gollan but he does strike a winnable race. He ran last Saturday here over 1800m and seemingly had every chance I thought albeit was close up in defeat when fourth to Blackcomb. The rise to 2200m i find interesting but the depth here, as a whole, seems a bit on the thin side. Last chance territory.

6 Little Mix (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) hasn’t won in a fair while but brings solid Sydney form to say she can take this out. She is three weeks between runs since contesting the Colin Stephen at Rosehill where she had the suck run in transit and was there to threaten but couldn’t quite finish it off behind Athabascan. This looks more her level and the depth isn’t deep.

1 Party For Two (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) resumes for O’Dea/Hoysted and is certainly dangerous. This filly had a two run prep during the early part of the Brisbane Winter Carnival and didn’t fire, spelled soon after the second run. Given a good break and her trial win last Tuesday was a sharp piece of work. I think she’s back and with her best, she puts this lot away.

2 Flag Hall (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) commands respect. He is 2/2 this time in, resuming with a strong win at this track/distance before stretching his brilliance to 1200m when on speed and he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and win. Back to 1000m I like, he has the fitness factor on his side and should be strong at the end.

5 Szabo (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a Brenton Andrew trained filly that comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since September 16 at this track/distance when attempting to lead throughout and giving a kick but couldn’t quite finish the job behind Instagood. Tick over trial win was a sharp piece of work and her best is good enough to be dangerous at a likely decent price.

$SP.00) is a Spirit Of Boom colt for Chris Munce that is on debut. The stable has been strong with their juveniles to start the season and they have this guy for start one off the back of a sharp trial win at Doomben when winning narrowly but had something in hand and beat stablemate Kahlisee, who won last Saturday to frank the form. Hard to beat here I’d suggest.

1 Mishani Rock (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) commands respect given he is the lone winner in the field, taking out the Pat O’Shea three weeks ago at Toowoomba when settling off the speed and was trucking before being clicked up on the turn and he was strong late in winning. He’ll be strong at the end and has that winning form, which should hold him in good stead.

2 Mythbusta (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) can pinch a first four spot with race experience on his side. He debuted two weeks back here when near the speed throughout and tried hard but just lacked the polish to put them away late and battled when third. Maps to get a suck run in transit and with the run under the belt, he should be stronger at the end.

$SP.00) is a query at 1600m but he has the finale to launch at them late. He ran over 1400m here a fortnight back where he worked home with real purpose late nearer the inside and for a few strides looked the winner but had to settle for a second to Drammatica. He only has a short sharp turn of foot but when unleashed, he can look quite impressive. Dangerous.

8 Aton Of Delight (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) looks ready to win for Glenn Thornton. He’s been strong in two runs back from a spell, the latest being two weeks ago over 1500m here where he loomed large to win and get past Regal Pom, but that horse has a touch of quality about him, hard fit and kicked on to win. Third up, hard fit now, he appeals big time.

6 Magic Conqueror (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) doesn’t win out of turn for Kelly Schweida but strikes a winnable race. He is three weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Toowoomba when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a very strong kick when asked for the big effort but couldn’t quite finish it off when fourth to Kronenbourg. Reckon with a bunny to chase, he’ll be better off.

$SP.00) looks the pony to bet on, and with some level of confidence. Former Godolphin galloper that resumed three weeks ago at Toowoomba and worked home strongly from the back, just missing out on the win when a narrow second to Pocket Full, who franked the form by winning last Saturday. Maps much better, fitter, bigger track…all points to him.

$SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Kelly Schweida since racing over 1200m at Toowoomba where she got back off the speed and took a little while to wind into her work but was good when she did get going when a close up fourth to Outlawed, who ran super last Saturday, so the form reads strong and onto the bigger track again, she’s hard to beat.

13 Sea Ripple (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is an interesting runner. She comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Sep 2 over 1400m here when back off the speed and was never a factor in an on pace dominated race behind Star Of Chaos, who led throughout and was too good. She does tend to race well on the fresh side and her best is good enough to take this out.

17 Mission Of Love (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) looks a mare with a decent engine under the hood and can certainly take this out for Symons/Laxon. She ran two weeks back here where she got back to near last in the run and spotted those in front a tidy start but did like the way she finished her race off behind Regal Pom. Has a few quirks but clearly has talent and if she can settle closer in the run, she’ll take beating.

14 Rising Pacific (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it. He looked a moral when racing over this trip at Ipswich last time and despite a few nervous moments in the run, class came to the fore and he was much too good. Bigger track will be more ideal and I reckon with a more patient steer, he can take this out.

5 Desert Mist (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has to be given another chance for Matty Dunn. Narrow second two back on the home deck at Murwillumbah to stablemate Al Ash Lad before bumping into him again at Rosehill a few weeks ago in a Highway when far from disgraced in defeat after getting back off the speed. If he can settle closer in the run, he’s good enough to take this out.

$SP.00) is the winner if he can harness his energy better. He went out too hard in front when resuming three weeks ago at Toowoomba and was left a sitting shot late, getting the staggers the last 100m to just cling on for third behind Compassionate. He’s a very sharp sprinter when right so if he can find the front and relax, he’ll take a power of beating I’d suggest.

$SP.00) has done little wrong in a 12 start career for Tony Gollan and rates highly. He ran three weeks ago at Toowoomba where he was run off his legs early but he picked up and surged hard late, just missing out on the win when a narrow second to Compassionate. Consistent animal, honest, tries hard and should be around the mark.

5 Pacific Vampire (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a very interesting runner. Formerly with Mark Newnham, and known as Shadow Vampire, but now finds himself with Adam Campton and is under the name of Pacific Vampire. He has the quality to win this given when racing in Sydney, he was city class, his last run seeing him place behind Vowmaster on Coast Day at Gosford. Trial was a good piece of work and can sprint well fresh. Watch the market.

$SP.00) is a talented three year old for Rex Lipp that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since the JJ Atkins when far from disgraced in defeat behind King Colorado after getting a fair way back in the run. 1000m is on the short side for him but a recent trial win was sharp and in terms of class, it will carry him a long way.

8 Maximum Output (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is racing in a purple patch for Stuart Kendrick and rates highly. He ran a fortnight back at this track/distance when giving them a start and a beating in an impressive display, finishing best to just get the win over a gallant Flaming Conquest. The win had merit too given he was wide in the run so if that hasn’t busted him, he’ll take beating once again.

7 You’ll Be Mist (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a 1000m specialist so with that in mind, she does command respect. She does tend to save her best for the Sunny Coast but over this trip, she will give cheek. Last start saw her win over 1000m at the Sunny Coast, sitting back near last in the run and finishing best. Not sure she is good enough to win but can run top four.

$SP.00) deserves another look for Rob Heathcoate. This mare resumed over this track/distance two weeks ago where the market liked her with confidence but she was very plain in the straight behind Zarastro. Thankfully, the vet found an excuse, with the mare found to be lame. Respecting the market push from first up, maps to get a suck run again and she does have quality.

$SP.00) is dangerous if he can get a drag into the race. He got that two back when winning at Doomben before racing at Eagle Farm again where he got back and did make up ground but was never really a winning factor behind Hard To Say. Hopefully for his fans, he can get a drag into the race and be quite strong at the end.

11 Kir Royale (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has to be given another look. Chris Waller trained mare that is three weeks between runs since racing at Toowoomba when attempting to lead throughout but didn’t find much late and tired behind Chatty Lady, but post race was found to have had a poor post race recovery. Prior efforts were strong, certainly good enough to be more than competitive here.

$SP.00) seems to be enjoying life under O’Dea/Hoysted and rates as one of the leading chances. He spanked them first up at Doomben in an electric first run for the new stable before going to Toowoomba where he had every chance behind the speed but was no match late for the finale of Chatty Lady. Hard fit, like him up to 1400m…like him here.

8 Our Magnus (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has to be rated as one of the hardest to beat. He was big odds when racing three weeks ago in The Weetwood but he ran out of his skin, closing off with purpose late without threatening behind All That Pizzazz. Perhaps ridden cold is the way to steer him from now on and if that eventuates here, he’ll take a power of beating.

7 Lord Markel (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has had a couple of runs at 1200m and I think he’s racing like a rise to 1400m will suit. He ran behind Zarastro two weeks back here where he just found the race shape not really to his liking but he kept finding the line in a solid effort, beaten four lengths. Hard fit now and up in distance, I think he can be an improver at odds.
