Newcomer’s such as Belhaven’s Pulito’s Osteria are already regarded as some of the best in the Jackson area for Italian fare, joining classics such as Highland Village’s Bravo! on a variety of top Italian lists.

Below are some of the other top places to consider that serve distinctive pasta dishes in the Jackson and surrounding areas.

Johnny T’s Bistro and Blues

Located in downtown Jackson, Johnny T’s offers great music, ambiance and a Renaissance Room upstairs to enjoy the Cajun Chicken Pasta and more.

“We have two pastas, creamy alfredo and Cajun chicken or shrimp pasta that are very popular here,” said Brian Myrick, executive chef at Johnny T’s. “We have live entertainment on Fridays, so it gets busy, and the pastas get ordered the most on that day.”

Amerigo Italian Restaurant

Amerigo is an Italian restaurant that offers lunch and dinner options of pastas with a variety to choose from such as the crawfish pasta, three-cheese tortellini and more.

  • Locations: 155 Market St., Flowood, 6592 Old Canton Road, Ridgeland, and a Jackson location coming soon. There are also locations in Tennessee and one location in Alabama.

Angelo’s

Angelo’s is known for their BBQ, pizza of course, but also their signature dishes such as seafood pasta, lasagna and chicken Alfredo.

“We sell all kinds of pastas,” said Chris Angelo, Owner of Angelo’s. “We get a lot of traffic here on the weekends, and our most popular ones would be the chicken Alfredo or the seafood pasta.”

Zea Rotisserie & Bar

Zea offers flavorful rotisserie and the Shrimp Breaux Bridge, a spicy cream sauce with penne pasta.

“The people are our secret ingredient, that’s what makes our pastas amazing,” said Matthew Jurney, Bar and Service Manager. “We also put our people first here, and the most popular option is the Shrimp Breaux Bridge.”

Enzo Osteria

Enzo Osteria is an Italian restaurant that offers a wide range of different pastas such as a spinach and ricotta ravioli pasta and customer favorite, Six-P-Pasta.

“We have about 11 pasta dishes on the menu and several of them are actual recipes I learned while over in Italy where I spent a good portion of my year doing culinary tours.” said Robert St. John, Owner of Enzo Osteria. “There’s a pasta called Six-P-Pasta that my son learned when he was cooking over in Italy as well and the P stands for different types of cheese that’s used inside the pasta. That’s our most popular one.”

Patio 44 Hattiesburg

Patio 44 in Hattiesburg is known for their seafood and steaks, but they also have a great pasta choice to choose from as well called the Pasta Jambalaya that comes with grilled chicken or sausage.

“We add our pasta jam sauce to our pastas which is a twist to a regular alfredo sauce but a little spicier.” said Ben Windom, kitchen manager.
