ANGEL FROM ABOVE (system – Cartoon, small fields)

Backing all offspring of the dam Cartoon would have found 24 winners from 131 bets (18.3%) for a profit of £37.27 to a £1 level stake at SP. In fields of 11 or fewer runners only, that improves to 23 from 90 (25.6%) for a profit of £73.27. The Keith Dalgleish-trained ANGEL FROM ABOVE, a 40,000gns yearling, could be worth chancing on her debut.

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.30

MORNING COLOURS (system – Marco Botti, turf to Tapeta switchers)

MORNING COLOURS made a promising debut in a 7f fillies’ maiden at Yarmouth last month, keeping on into an 18-1 sixth after missing the break and running green. Trainer Marco Botti has a great record when switching one of his runners from turf to Tapeta, including 55 winners from 243 qualifiers (22.6% strike-rate) at Wolverhampton for a profit of £79.60 to a £1 level stake at SP and the three-year-old can get off the mark tonight.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.00

GOLD MEDAL (system – Olympic Glory, all-weather, not Polytrack)

Progeny of the sire Olympic Glory have a good record on Tapeta or Fibresand, landing 20 of their 121 starts (16.5% strike-rate) for a huge profit of £147.99 to a £1 level stake at SP. GOLD MEDAL got mullered on the inside rail when only ninth on Lingfield’s Polytrack last time and won his first two starts for Dylan Cunha over tonight’s 6f trip. The return to Tapeta looks ideal and he could prove hard to beat.
