Actor Tamannaah Bhatia Called to Testify in Illegal IPL Streaming Matter: Report

In the matter of the illegal IPL coordinate gushing, Tamannaah Bhatia’s title has surfaced. According to sources, the on-screen character has been called in for cross-examination in approximately the same case by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. On April 29, the on-screen character was welcomed to go for a cross-examination.

According to reports, Sanjay Dutt’s title has surfaced in connection with the wrongdoing. Before this week, he was called in to be addressed. But he was incapable of making it because of his plan, so he asked for an unused date. “Maharashtra Cyber summons performing artist Tamannaah Bhatia for addressing in association with the unlawful gushing of IPL 2023 on the Fairplay app that caused the misfortune of crores of rupees to Viacom. She has been asked to show up sometime recently in Maharashtra Cyber on April 29th,” ANI shared on X. “Actor Sanjay Dutt was also moved to this association on April 23, but he had not shown up some time recently.

He had, in step, looked for a date and time for recording his explanation and said that he was not in India on the date,” they added.

Tamannaah and Sanjay purportedly advanced and embraced FairPlay’s backup app of the Mahadev wagering app. According to the Times of India, in September 2023, an FIR was enrolled after Viacom18 complained that they had mental property rights (IPR) for gushing the IPL matches. In spite of this, the wagering app Reasonable Play Stage was gushing the matches illicitly on their stage. This has led to over Rs 100 crore of misfortune for Viacom18. Taking after the FIR, a few stars, counting Badshah, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Tamannaah, among others, were called in for addressing. In December 2023, a representative of the wagering app was arrested.
