Adhyayan Suman and Kangana Ranaut dated for a short while in 2008 and 2009. They had a contentious split, during which he even accused her of multiple things. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the actor—who is getting ready for the premiere of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix India series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar—was questioned about Kangana.

‘I have forgotten the past’

Adhyayan claimed that since turning 20, his “life has moved on.” The 36-year-old actor declined to discuss his Breakup with Kangana. “I have forgotten the past, so I don’t want to talk or discuss that person you are referring to, Kangana Ranaut,” Adhyayan uttered. “I’ll answer your question if you ask, but I’ve brought this to a significant conclusion,” he continued. Things have advanced significantly in life. I was twenty at the time. I’m 36 years old right now. Kangana recently entered politics, running as a Mandi candidate for the BJP in the next Lok Sabha election. She’s slated to appear in the movie Emergency shortly.

Kangana and Adhyayan started dating just before working together on Raaz: The Mystery Continues (2009). Following their breakup, the former accused her of trying to sway him with several accusations. During their year-long relationship, Adhyayan said Kangana was an aggressive partner who made his life “hellish.” Adhyayan revealed in 2023 why, over eight years after their breakup, he disclosed the details of their split “not in 2009, but in 2017.” The actor stated that he did not regret his public remarks about his split, despite facing criticism for doing so, in an interview.

Shekhar Suman talked candidly about the breakup between Kangana and his son Adhyayan in a recent interview with Zoom. In a 2023 interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shekhar was asked why he felt that Kangana and Adhyayan could not be held responsible for their separation. He responded, “I mean, these relationships happen, and nobody wants to sort of have a relationship and just break up and move on.”

“They were happy when they were together, Kangana and Adhyayan,” he continued. “But then they went their separate ways.” It was meant to be. There shouldn’t be any animosity or hostility toward one another. Things do occasionally happen in the excitement of the moment. But one ought to constantly remember the past with nostalgia.
