Hanuman Jayanti Special| Teja Sajja: After seeing my film HanuMan, my relationship with Lord Hanuman has grown

Actor Teja Sajja believes that the enormous box office success of his 2024 movie Hanuman has caused his life to become inextricably intertwined with the god. The movie centres on a man who gains abilities similar to those of Lord Hanuman.

Sajja reports that he is receiving a ton of offers for events in honour of Hanuman Jayanti today. “I’ve received invitations to numerous large parties in Hyderabad. I might pay one of them a visit,” he says.

The actor claims he felt the blessings of the deity while filming. “Only 30–40% of our work was completed throughout the two-year trip. All of the rest was the work of Lord Hanuman. Even the largest mistakes worked out well for us because everything we did was the best for our idea, the 29-year-old says.

He admits that when he was younger, his dedication to Hanuman wasn’t as great as it is now: “It wasn’t like I would do pooja, or go to mandir.” I wouldn’t make such preparations because I wasn’t a fervent believer. However, my bond with Lord Hanuman grew stronger after seeing the movie.

Which virtue does he hope to absorb from Hanuman? “Humility is the ability to act weak even though you know you are the most powerful person.” Finally, the actor says, “My goal is to become as humble as Lord Hanuman.”
