Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics local organizers’ request to include baseball/softball, cricket, flag football, lacrosse, and squash in the event’s sports lineup was accepted, according to the International Olympic Committee.
Squash and flag football will be played for the first time ever at the Los Angeles Olympics. The most recent inclusion were baseball and softball in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Cricket was played at the Paris Olympics in 1900, lacrosse was on the schedule in St. Louis in 1904, and London in 1908.
