Karan Johar Reflects on Salman Khan’s Role in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’
On October 15, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji attended a special fan screening that Karan Johar organized to commemorate the silver jubilee of his beloved 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
During an interview, Karan was questioned concerning Salman, who had a brief appearance in his first movie, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. In addition, Karan addressed a query about whether this would be Salman and him working together on a feature-length movie for the first time.
Karan Johar on collaborating with Salman Khan
Karan Johar responded, “The thing is that I have to tell you that I have the deepest respect for Salman and his entire family,” when asked if the cooperation was finally happening.
The father of Salman Khan, Salim saab, was close to my father, Yash Johar, who wrote scripts for him.And I previously informed you that Salman accepted the film (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) because he adored my dad.
And I’ve never let go of that. Right now, all I can say is that hopefully that relationship will find a celluloid space very soon. I’m not claiming it, nor am I refuting it. In some cases, I have superstitions. When the time is appropriate, I feel compelled to tell it.”
Regarding Salman’s appearance as Aman in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan added, “Many actors had turned down the role of Aman.” Later on, during Chunky Panday’s party, I got to meet Salman.
About Karan and Salman’s alleged film together
earlier in September that Salman Khan and Karan Johar would be collaborating on a Vishnuvardhan-directed movie. Salman is set to play a paramilitary officer in the aforementioned film, which is scheduled to begin production in December 2023.
As of yet, no formal word has been given on the matter.The outlet had previously stated that Karan and Vishnuvardhan have not yet cast any actors for the movie, despite rumors that the Dharma Productions team was in talks with Trisha, Samantha, and Anushka Shetty to join the project. Sources familiar with the situation said that Vishnuvardhan was occupied finishing up a Tamil movie and will begin casting Salman’s upcoming picture in October.

Naturally, two names that aren’t from the ones doing the rounds in the media have been discussed internally. An insider with knowledge of the situation disclosed that in October, Karan and Vishnu will begin speaking with performers for the action thriller that is set against the backdrop of the Indian Army.
