The Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan was the target of raids on Wednesday, one day after the Enforcement Directorate accused him of obtaining “huge proceeds of crime” in the form of cash through illicit recruitment in the Delhi Waqf Board, which he then used to buy real estate in the names of his associates.

The federal agency raided 13 places in the nation’s capital on Tuesday that were connected to the lawmaker and those who knew him.
“The searches were carried out in connection with the case concerning illicit hiring of personnel in Delhi Waqf Board and illicit personal benefits through unfair leasing out of Waqf Board properties during Amantullah Khan’s chairmanship of the Board from 2018 to 2022,” the agency said in a statement.
It said that the foundation of their action against the Aam Aadmi Party MLA was a CBI FIR and three complaints from the Delhi Police.
Using cash, Amanatullah Khan, the ED stated, “acquired huge proceeds of crime out of the said criminal activities” and used the money to buy many immovable properties in Delhi under the names of his colleagues.
During the strikes, various “implicating” records and substantial and advanced proof were found, which the assertion guaranteed “show” Amanatullah Khan’s contribution in illegal tax avoidance.
Following Khan’s gathering with him on Wednesday, Delhi Boss Priest Arvind Kejriwal said that phony bodies of evidence are being brought against party authorities and that a plot to disband the AAP was in the works.
